Rowing
Coláiste Iognáid Rowing Club was founded in 1935 and every year invites new students to try out rowing, which is a wonderful sport. The club is part of the school but located on the banks of the River Corrib and easily accessed via NUIG grounds. It is open to boys and girls attending Coláiste Iognáid and all are welcome.
The club competes at under 14, 15, 16 and 18 levels at regattas throughout Ireland. We have won the Irish Rowing School Championship on three occasions in recent years. This is based on the combined performance of many crews, and many of our rowers have represented Ireland at under 18 level.
Participation and Commitment to giving your best in accordance with the school ethos and enjoyment of the sport are our core values.
