ongratulations to Frank O’Neill and Eoghan Finn on their successful trip to the UK for the International Competition for Senior Debaters at Oxford. They finished in the top third of all teams. Congratulations to Kate Duggan and Philip Buckley who qualified for the International Competition for Young Debaters and will represent Ireland in Cambridge on 5th May.

ongratulations to the TY Links Bank Team who won at the regional section of the AIB Build a Bank Competition in Athlone in February.  We wish them continued success when they compete at the National Finals in April.

he Connacht Debating Finals were held in Coláiste Iognáid last Saturday, 2nd March. It was a hugely successful day for Jes debating and in all nine Jes pupils will now progress to the All-Ireland Finals on April 5th.
