JES ROWER TAKES BRONZE AT IRISH INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Elise Carney- Frazier who won a bronze medal in the Womens’ Junior 16 500m sprint at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships (IIRC) held at the UL Sports Arena, on Saturday the 20th of January. Jes rowers featured right across the spectrum of times posted in these all-Ireland races and achieved 14 top-10 finishes.

The Senior Boys’ Basketball Team competed in the top level of schools basketball in Pool D of the Under-19 A All-Ireland Playoffs in Neptune Stadium on Sunday 21st January. JES 1ST YEAR STUDENTS SCOOP TOP AWARDS AT BT YOUNG SCIENTISTS EXHIBITION
Congratulations to Jes first year students Aoibhe Briscoe, Ellie Concannon and Katie Owens who took first place in the Junior Group category for Biological & Ecological Sciences at this year’s BT Young Scientists Exhibition. The girls also received a Special Award from the Environmental Protection Agency. Their project was titled Think Before You Drink: Microplastics. For their project

he Jes Mountaineering Club climbed Sliabh Eilbhe in The Burren on Sunday 1st October. The group of 9 students was led by Ms. Donoghue and Mr. Molloy.
