The Jes led by 1-06 to 1-02 at half time with their first goal coming from a penalty by Niall Rooney. A strong Jes defence held out against multiple St Endas attacks in the second half. Despite being down to 14 men, it was all to play for in the closing ten minutes of the game. It was team captain Dara Golden’s second half goal that proved the decisive score and the Jes finished in front to qualify for the final. They will play Glenamaddy on Monday week.

Jes Juvenile Footballers
The Jes Juveniles also booked their place in the Connacht final in emphatic fashion by recording a comprehensive win over St. Endas at Pearse Stadium last Wednesday. Buoyed by a stunning last gasp win over Abbey College Boyle in the previous round, the Jes boys tore into Endas and led by 11 points at the break. They never let their standards slip eventually winning on a scoreline of 7-13 to 3-7. With George Hill to the fore at full forward supported by Ben Kelly, Cian Conneely and the excellent David Doorly Endas simply had no answers. Captain Callum O’Toole ably led from the back alongside Macdara OGriofa as the Jes easily squeezed their opponents. The Jes will face Garbally College next Friday in the Final in Menlough.
