Congratulations to Tara O’Neill (2X) who broke to the Grand Final of the Matheson National Junior Debating Championship during the finals day on Saturday 21st April. The competition is the biggest and most prestigious in Ireland and Tara was placed 7th in the country. She is is the youngest Jes debater to have ever achieved this accolade

JES ROWER TAKES BRONZE AT IRISH INDOOR ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Elise Carney- Frazier who won a bronze medal in the Womens’ Junior 16 500m sprint at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships (IIRC) held at the UL Sports Arena, on Saturday the 20th of January. Jes rowers featured right across the spectrum of times posted in these all-Ireland races and achieved 14 top-10 finishes.

JES 1ST YEAR STUDENTS SCOOP TOP AWARDS AT BT YOUNG SCIENTISTS EXHIBITION

Congratulations to Jes first year  students Aoibhe Briscoe, Ellie Concannon and Katie Owens who took first place in the Junior Group category for Biological & Ecological Sciences at this year’s BT Young Scientists Exhibition. The girls also received a Special Award from the Environmental Protection Agency.   Their project was titled Think Before You Drink: Microplastics. For their project
